According to a report of the Times of India (TOI), the UP police have arrested the gang for selling out the question paper. Among the group, the girl hailing from Patna was supposed to perform a major role. “Powered by Bluetooth, listening devices had been used in Harayana last year and this time same modus operandi was being employed in Uttar Pradesh,” Gyanendra Nath Prasad, DySP of STF’s Varanasi unit said.

Among the group of eight, a 21-year-old girl from Patna was suspected of playing a crucial role and was apprehended by sleuths outside R S Convent school. Located in Sarnath area of Varanasi, the girl had to appear for the exam at the convent school.

She was taken away and frisked by policewomen. A sophisticated ear bug and a small box containing battery and GSM SIM card were recovered from the girl’s undergarments. “Powered by Bluetooth, listening devices had been used in Haryana last year and this time same modus operandi was being employed in Uttar Pradesh,” said Gyanendra Nath Prasad, DySP of STF’s Varanasi unit.
